Week 2

Welcome to summer everyone!
Week 2 of our summer reading spectacular is upon us! It is so good to hear from all of our faithful readers again this summer. I love reading those reviews! It makes me want to read the books you are reading. The librarians are taking a “Walk Through the Stacks” this summer and sampling from some of the major call number areas. Last week we read from the B’s and this week we are reading in the C’s and D’s – History of Asia, Africa, Archaeology and History of the world. There are a ton of great biographies and histories in this call number range and we are having a blast picking and reading books to review. As always, our picks and reviews are available for you to see at the library entrance as well as on the PoP4 website.

Remember that you can read anything available in the library or through LINK+. Just report the book you read on the web site created for this purpose at http://pop4.thebookloverinme.com/ and you will be eligible for prizes after you’ve read your first book, 5th book and 10th book. I’m glad to see so many of us participating again this year.

Stay cool this week!

Cindy Parkhurst
Chair of Public Services
(951) 785-2163
cindyp@lasierra.edu
