Good morning everyone,
Well, this is the last week of PoP2, the library’s reading extravaganza. Many of you have participated by reading and viewing our website and sending supportive messages. Unfortunately, as many of you have noticed, the PoP2 web page is not functioning since the meltdown to some of the hard drives this past week. That means that a number of you have not been able to submit reviews of the books you have read. We had hoped to have the repairs finished before now, but since it looks like it’s going to be longer than we anticipated, I thought we should provide an alternate route for you to submit your reviews. You can email your reviews to cviramon@lasierra.edu. Remember that the review does not have to be long and that you only need to report the name of the book, the author and the number of pages. The last day to report is on Tuesday, Sept. 4.
Also, even though the web site is down, the librarians are still reading and recommending! This week’s recommendations are for a book series. Once again, I think you’ll enjoy the selections and the reviews we’ve written. Many of you have come up to the library to see the display of books we’ve recommended over the weeks this summer. Please feel free to come up again. You’ll be rewarded by the always cool library in addition to good books and good reviews.
